Zuma is one of those places every one talks about, and we had a really great lunch there. The place is what I would call hauté cuisine done in a designer atmosphere, and the food is great. Service is a little pushed on some busy days, but then it does get busy for the business lunch. Food styling is superb, and the food is cooked to absolutely a world class standard. The edamame is addictive, the crab sushi is stunning, as are many other signature dishes. I tried the steak (because the Japanese are fanatics about their beef), and my medium rare steak was done perfect.
Try the set lunch as well, it’s pretty good when you are in a hurry. The place is expensive, but then one has to consider it’s prime DIFC location, it’s top draw menu of some of the most inventive japanese in town, and of course the mostly business and glam clientele. You absolutely must do the Zuma thing once.
